Main memory is the fastest running memory, which is used directly by the CPU because all the programs the CPU runs are in the main memory, so the operating system does all this.

And now we will know which part of the main memory will be used and which will not be, how much will be, and how much will not be used.

In multiprocessing, the OS designates which memory will be given to which process and how much will be given. When the process memory asks, it gives her memory to OS.

This means that the process means a task or a small task that is inside the computer, the OS takes back its memory when the process finishes its work.

➤ Processor Management (Process Scheduling)

When it comes to the multiprogramming environment, the OS designates which process will get the processor? and which will not be available & for how long? This process is called process scheduling.

Yes, friends, the operating system makes all this work. The operating system also checks whether the processor is empty or something is working or free and whether the process has finished its work.

But they help to run different input or output devices and these drivers are run by the OS. The OS tracks all computers and the program that performs this task is called I/O Controller.

One process has to do some tasks like video play, print out, then both these tasks output devices monitor printers.

➤ Viewing System Performance

Seeing system performance means that the operating system also monitors the performance of the computer and improves the system and also records how long the OS takes to deliver a service.

Talking about errors, if there are a lot of errors coming in the system, then the operating system detects and tells them and yes recovers.

➤ Creating Synergy between Software and User

And if you go a little further, the operating system also creates a synergy between the software and the user. This means that the compiler assigns tasks to the interpreter and assembler.

Connects different software to the user so that the user can use the software well such as providing communication between the user and the system and store it in the operating system bias.
